How to make a printable coloring page
Find the right lines
Use AI Clean Lines for most pictures. Start with Balanced, choose Simple for less texture, or try Fast Outline on a slow device. Change the settings and generate again to compare.
Download and print
Choose SVG for scalable vector paths, PNG for an image file, or a single-page PDF sized for A4 or US Letter paper. All four exports are free. Read the printing guide for paper sizes and margins.
Better starting photos, better outlines.
Automatic tracing follows light, texture and contrast. It does not redraw a photo as a professional illustration. Faces, fine hair, fur and complex backgrounds can leave extra marks or broken contours. A closer crop and even lighting help. AI Clean Lines runs a local model at up to approximately 512 pixels before tracing; Fast Outline processes at up to 1200 pixels. A larger PNG export does not restore detail lost during processing.
The SVG and PDF exports contain real vector paths; the PNG is rasterized from those paths. This is a starting point for coloring, not a guarantee of closed regions for bucket-fill software. You keep control over your input and the finished file.

Is this photo-to-coloring-page converter free?
Yes. Both modes run in your browser, require no sign-in and do not call a paid image-generation API. Download SVG, PNG, A4 PDF and US Letter PDF without paying per image. AI Clean Lines downloads approximately 40 MB of model and runtime files on first use.
Do you upload or save my photographs?
No. The photo stays in this browser tab during conversion. The finished file downloads directly to your device. We do not send the photo to a server, an image API, analytics or logs. Clear the photo or close the tab to release it. Hosting may log ordinary page and static-file requests, which do not contain your photograph.
Are these genuine SVG files?
Yes. The SVG contains vector paths produced from the detected lines, rather than embedding the uploaded photo as a bitmap. Automatic vector tracing may produce many paths or open-looking boundaries; it is not equivalent to a hand-illustrated SVG.
Why does a busy photo produce lots of lines?
AI Clean Lines tries to emphasize structure, but it can still retain texture. Fast Outline detects edges and texture. A busy background, dense hair or detailed clothing has many edges. Try a photo with one visible main subject, a closer crop or Simple detail. This tool does not know which objects you want removed.
Which file should I print?
Choose A4 PDF for A4 paper or US Letter PDF for 8.5 × 11 inch paper. Both exports contain vector paths centered on one page with margins. SVG is useful for scaling or editing; PNG is a raster image for apps that do not open vector files. Print at actual size and check your printer preview.

Does AI Clean Lines need the internet?
First use downloads the local model and browser runtime from this site when you click Generate. The model runs on your device and never sends photos out. Browser caching may reuse these files later, but offline availability is not guaranteed. On an older or low-memory device, try Fast Outline. If AI mode fails, the tool reports an error and lets you choose another mode.
